Walfrido Dominguez, who has been awarded in different competitions in Cuba, is the author of several songs and compositions for solo guitar and instrumental ensembles. He also composed music for theater and movies. As an interpreter, Walfrido has been part of different chamber ensembles. He integrated “Guitarra 4” (with Rey Guerra, Carlos Alberto Lloró and Eduardo Martín) and subsequently “Duo Confluencia”, with guitarist Eduardo Martin, with whom he toured Cuba, Uruguay, Argentina, Costa Rica, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, France and Italy. Based in Barcelona (Spain), Obdara Trio is formed by guitarist and composer Walfrido Dominguez (Havana, Cuba), guitarist Farid Bechara (Medellín, Colombia), and clarinetist Bartolomé García-Plata (Barcelona, Spain). They started this project in June 2012 and despite its short history, the trio has an album (Los tres golpes, 2014),  has participated in guitar festivals as "GUITARREUS" in the city of Reus-Catalonia, "Guitares du Mon" in Perpignan-France, the XVth International Guitar Festival of Albacete, and has performed successful concerts in the cities of Sant Antimo and Naples in Italy.

Obdara Trio is a unique chamber ensemble featuring two guitars and a clarinet. They interpret an enjoyable variety of Cuban-inspired music, both classical and contemporary. Their repertoire consists primarily of the ensemble’s own original compositions and variations on popular and traditional music. They delightfully show the richness and imaginative variety in popular Cuban genres –ranging from afro-Cuban rhythms to reinterpretations of son, cha-cha-cha or guaguanco–, and honouring also some of the most celebrated classical Cuban composers. Each of their concerts showcases a blend of technical mastery with fun, contemporary arrangements influenced by modern genres such as jazz, blues, rock or funk.
